Love Sculpture

We started the cabin rental business in Luray in the early 1970s.

Incorporated 1984: The Country Place, Inc. . . . Lodging and Camping on the Shenandoah River

Donald Lipscomb made this for us when we moved to Luray in 1984 saying, “You can find love other than in Philadelphia.”

That is where Robert Indiana’s original Love Sculpture sits in Logan Circle very close to City Hall on the famous Philadelphia Parkway.  It was also where we were living when we met Donald and family.
